Most electronic products used at home and in the workplace contain hazardous substances, such as lead and mercury. When these products reach end of life or become obsolete, some are considered to be hazardous waste, which cannot be discarded in the regular trash! You must thus seek out avenues that offer proper disposal of these materials. This event presents a convenient opportunity, and a reminder, to do so!
Current figures compiled by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency indicate that more than 2 million tons of electronic waste ends up in landfills each year. Office Recycling Solutions has collected almost 200 tons of electronic junk for recycling. Please help keep this going by joining in our aim to protect the environment and benefit our community!
If you have old or unwanted electronics, we provide free pick up for e-recycling.
